Eric & I went to a fun New Year's party this year with a bunch of rowdy friends from our neighborhood. The kids went to hang with the Stewart cousins, because Eric's bro, Tim & his family were in town. It was a cold fun night for all!

We spent this Christmas with the Stewart Family. Christmas Eve the grandkids who are in town (& now great-grandkids) do a nativity show. This year Shelby got to be Mary, which was a HUGE deal for her. She doesn't ever demand much attention, and so sometimes she doesn't get it because there are those who DO demand it. I was really happy for her. She looked SO cute!

And Harley & Tatum were Angels.

Then Santa comes to take one last request, and pass out a Christmas Eve gift.
Then we went home so Santa could come to our house. I admit that Santa showed GREAT restraint this year! He always wants to spoil the kids, but realized that no matter how much or how little they get, they still feel excited & spoiled.
Each kid got one cheap special gift, an outfit, and some socks & undies from Santa.
Then we drew names among the kids and each bought 1 gift for the sibling they drew. That was fun! Then Dad & Mom gave them each a special gift, and a scripture bag.

Grandpa Bird & Tatum have a special relationship. She loves her "Gwampa Biwd". And he sure seems to enjoy her, too. Every time we're together, she finds a ball of some kind, and they end up throwing it back and forth to each other and cackling. I love it!

Grammy & Papa always give the kids a little family gift. This year it was a book. Then it was story time. Grammy read while Papa acted out! acted out the story.

I don't like to shop. I never really have. So this year while everyone else was doing "Black Friday SHOPPING", we decided to do "Black Friday SHOOTING"!
We took Chandler and our friends Jeremy & Laree Fuller, and went to Sierra Vista to visit Eric's Uncle Tom. We always enjoy visiting him. We learn so much every time we see him, and we have so much fun drooling over his gun collection/addiction. ;)

Then, he pulled out a few different guns and let Chandler shoot 'til he was tired.
It was really fun to watch him. He was in heaven! He's really got a good eye, too. He was hitting his targets a good share of the time.
Uncle Tom gave Eric an SKS, which I think he now loves more than he loves me. :)
Chan was a dead eye with Jeremy's AR-15. He hit 4 out of 5 shots at 150 yards away.
And I got some good practice with my 9mm Glock.
It was a WONDERFUL day...as always!
With teaching preschool, I don't get to go into the kids' classrooms as often as I use to. But I did get to go for Thanksgiving. We had alot of fun in both classes.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
This year we had the Jameson fam at our house for Thanksgiving (except for Ryan & Linsey's family who moved to Utah this summer). It was a bunch of fun. We made the turkey, but Eric was busy helping elsewhere, and I wasn't about to carve that thing. Yuck! So my dad did it for us.
It had been raining for days before, but managed to clear out just long enough for the "boys" to have a football game out back.
The "grown-ups" stayed inside to let our food settle, and talk about "Black Friday" shopping.
Tatum fell asleep and slept through the entire party.
Everyone seemed to have a good day! I think it was a success!
