Proverbs 3:5 says:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
The Stewart/Randall family has been forced to rehearse this scripture in our heads the past few days. Eric's sister, Shannan, went into labor Sunday morning (only 2 weeks early), and there were major complications during delivery. Baby Harry Stewart Randall was born via EMERGENCY c-section on 4/19/09 at 3:42am. He weighed 8 lbs. 3 ounces, and is BEAUTIFUL!!! He was promptly rushed via air-evac to Phoenix Children's Hospital where he has been treated for the effects of oxygen deprivation ever since.
It is so hard to watch their sweet little family go through such a painful experience. We all feel helpless, but we have faith!!! We are learning to trust in our Heavenly Father and his plan for us. We just wish we could see and know a little more of what He sees and knows. :(
Please keep perfect Baby Harry, Mommy Shannan (who is also still recovering), & Daddy Monti (who has been a trooper) in your prayers! The scripture you quoted is my favorite scripture. It hangs on the wall in our bedroom and I look at it every day. That doesn't mean that trusting is easy! But it is a comfort to know that the Lord has a plan and He is in charge. That makes trusting a little easier.
I hope that you and all the Randall/Stewart family know that our love and prayers are with you constantly.
