Last night we had an awesome Family Home Evening. Eric did a great lesson on testimonies. He talked about why they’re important, and how we can make them strong. Then, he told them HOW to share them. Then, he invited anyone who wanted to, to share their testimony. Even Tatum, at 4 years old could express what she believes.
Harley started it off and said that she believes that family can be together even after they die… “cuz we’re all gonna die someday, and then we can be together in heaven.” So sweet! Next, Shelby said that she believes that “Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and that we can all be together forever.” Tatum was next, and said that she believes in the “scrittures”, and that Jesus loves us. Then, Chandler said he believes in the Book of Mormon, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that “he gave us back the Book of Mormon”. It was such a sweet moment, as a parent, to hear what THEY believed. There was no helping, or whispering in their ears. It was all from their little hearts and heads.
Lastly, Eric & I shared our testimonies, and talked about President Ezra Taft Benson’s family motto, “No Empty Chairs”. We explained that in this life and the next, we will be a strong family unit, with “no empty chairs”, if we follow the commandments and help each other to live righteously.
It was a night I will never forget!!!

Reading your two most recent blogs, I couldn't help but think how blessed my grandkids are to have parents who share both kinds of experiences with them. Fun and faith. Thank you for being such good parents. I want to be sitting in the row behind your family someday. Love you.
