I'm Spoiled!
Papa's B-day
So, this year I had each of the kids take a big letter from P*A*P*A, and color it however they wanted to. Then, we took pictures of each of them with their letter, and put them together in one big picture. We figured he would be able to print it and keep it all year long to remember how much we love and miss him.
I just LOVE how it turned out...
I also wrote a message to him on Facebook that got LOTS of responses. I thought that was pretty cool... even though dad has yet to come to the dark side (Facebook). Mom allowed him to peak over her shoulder so he could see it, and he wrote me a very sweet note in response.
Here's a screenshot of the message I wrote, and the responses. It's obvious how many lives he has touched. I'm proud he's my "Papa". Love you, dad! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Academic Spying!
Technology is AMAZING! I was just able to link in with a phone app called "Infinite Campus". It literally shows me every grade on every assignment, and an up-to-the-minute look at my kid's grades. Maybe I'd have done a little better in school growing up if I knew my mom and dad could look in on my grades at any moment!
Not that I have anything to worry about with my kids… They're all great students. However, I'm hoping this knowledge will help me feel a little more connected to what they are (and sometimes aren't) doing in class.
Here's a screen shot of what ways I can spy on my kids. Awesome!...

Overacheiver
Ease up, buddy! You're making the rest of us look bad! ;)

Here he is pinning on the mom Star pin. Thanks for not stabbing me! ;)...

Here are all his awards...
Next stop… Life rank advancement. Then, Eagle! With the great leaders he has, we're hoping to finish in the next year or so. Way to go, Chanman!

A Day At The Farm
The same week that I went on the zoo field trip, I was able to go on yet another field trip. This one was to MAC Farms with Harley. It’s out in our neck of the woods, but it’s run by U of A and they do a great job of teaching kids about the workings of a real farm.
They got to learn about what it takes to plant and grow a seed.
They made bracelets that taught them all the parts it takes to grow a seed (soil, water, air, love…) Harley even got to be the hand model for that. :)
Finally, we got to ride a tractor out into the fields to harvest radishes.
Being with my Harley girl is ALWAYS a blast! I’m so glad I got to go with her.
