Last day of our trip

I'm so lame to just be getting around to the last day of our Disneyland adventure, but things have been a little crazy around here. Anyway...

Day 3 started a little better than Day 2. We let the kids sleep in a little bit, packing our breakfast in to D-Land, and hit the shuttle right on time. We marched right in, and as soon as the gates opened...the race was on. The boys had tried the day before to hit the Indiana Jones ride, but it was too long of a wait. So on Day 3 they ran stright there. Chandler's on a big Indiana Jones kick right now, so that was a HUGE thrill for him. And the ladies went to pick up a few souveniers, then off to grab a couple of Fast Passes(smartest thing D-Land ever did was invent those).

We also hit one small ride. Tater and I rode together, and I accidentally captured one of my favorite pictures of the trip. I held the camera out in front of us ,and said "Cheese! Look at mommy!" DUH! I was holding the camera, but didn't mean for her to look at me. However, we ended up with this shot... I just love the way she is looking at me, even if it was an accident. ;)After the boys finished the "Indi" ride, they came and met back up with us.

We grabbed a couple more rides, and at that point Grammy was'nt feeling very well so we stopped to grab her a drink, and decided to make our "churro stop". Our kids LOVE the churros at Costco, and have been told that D-Land has the best in the world. So we promised to get them all one. This was the big moment...

We had been told that there was an interactive "Star Wars" show that we should really go see. So, after we finished our churros, we just stayed put in the amphitheatre and waited for a few minutes until the show started. We were literally front and center, and we had no idea what we were in for... It was a Jedi Training Course. The first thing they did was come in and pick about 20 or so kids to be trained as Jedis. Chandler was actually chosen early on and ended up on the stage, which was so much fun for him.

After a little Jedi training, and a whole lot of fun, it was time to test his training. There were a few visitors from the dark side... and Chan had to face Darth Mall.

After facing, and defeating him, Chan received a certificate saying he had passed his Jedi training. It was pretty cool, and totally made his week!

After that, we headed to California Adventure. None of us had ever been there. We ran right in and grabbed a few Fast Passes, and checked out a few sights along the way. We hit Soarin' Over California, which was very cool. And Papa even got to learn the "secret Stewart Family hand shake" while standing in line.

Next we grabbed some dinner, and a couple more adventures, including a 3-D Bug's life movie which was really fun. Then we headed to the "Grizzly River Run". We were ready to get SOAKED!!! And we did...

After being soaked, we headed back to D-Land for a couple more rides photo ops. Then it was off to the hotel to collapse! The fireworks started just as the shuttle took off, so our driver was cool enough to inch along the road, so we could catch as many fireworks as possible on the ride back.

We had planned to get up early the next morning and head home, but we were all WAY too tired for that. So we ended up sleeping in until around 8, and then having a leisure breakfast and swim before heading out on the road home.

This was a trip that none of us will ever forget! The kids have even started the next D-Land Fund already. Thanks to Grammy & Papa for coming with us. It was a pleasure to have you!
