Eric & I took a few days last weekend to go an anniversary outing. (Thanks Monti & Shannan for watching our munchkins!) We went to Sierra Vista, AZ to visit Eric's Uncle Tom. He is the "GUN MAN"! I've never seen so many guns in one place, including gun stores. He's been collecting and shooting guns of all kinds for his entire life. We got our first gun from him shortly after our 1st anniversary, and have aquired a few more since then.
He was good enough to take us out to the shooting range, where he is a range master, and taught us a few great techniques to shoot more accurately. It was so much fun!!!
We blew through a whole bunch of ammo, and shot multiple guns. Some of them were ours, and some were his that he let us shoot.
My favorite was his Smith & Wesson 45 revolver. It was really accurate, fun to shoot, and it was pretty, too. (Spoken like a true girl, huh?) I also really enjoyed our new 9mm. (Thanks, Tifiny!)
After shooting, we went out to lunch with him, and then back to his house where he showed us a very small portion of his enormous collection. Everything from an FBI issued 10mm, to an AR-10, to a Desert Eagle 50(a.k.a.- the hand cannon). He also had such a wealth of knowledge. We learned SO much, and had such a great time. Thanks so much Uncle Tom, for letting us take up your time, and sharing your passion with us. You've definitely passed "the gun bug" on to us. ;)
